AudioSpillage Spills Free MiniSpillage Drum Synth

MiniSpillage is a free professional quality drum synthesizer plugin from AudioSpillage. At the heart of MiniSpillage lies a high resolution DSP audio engine and a custom set of synthesis algorithms designed exclusively for original electronic drum sounds.

Rather than reinventing the past AudioSpillage aims to build on previous innovations and provide the modern musician with an original electronic percussion instrument designed for the demands of today.

MiniSpillage features 3 models for creating percussion sounds: BassDrum, WoodDrum, and ElectroHiHat. Each model is aimed at a particular family of sounds but is flexible enough to generate unique sounds far away form their traditional use. Available parameters are specifically matched to the model selected. For example, while the BassDrum model offers Click and Emphasis controls, the WoodDrum includes tone controls like Metallic and Detune, and the ElectroHiHat allows fine mid and high-frequency EQ adjustments.

Key Features:

  • Custom drum synthesis algorithms
  • High resolution 64 bit DSP engine
  • Exceptional audio quality
  • Fluid real time control
  • Clean and intuitive user interface
  • Efficient optimized design

MiniSpillage offers a taste of the forthcoming flagship drum synth from AudioSpillage called DrumSpillage, which is due in early 2010. DrumSpillage is the culmination of several years freelance work on custom electronic percussion/drum synthesis projects, and will be the first official product sold by the new company behind it.

MiniSpillage requires OS X 10.4 or later. It will run on any Mac with a minimum 1GHz processor and a compatible AU host application such as Logic or Digital Performer. MiniSpillage was recently upgraded to version 1.0.1 providing support for Ableton Live 8.
