I really wish I could make a scan of my network drive

You can :)

Simply Enable:
Preferences->Scan non-local (Network) file systems.

It is off by default because most people don't expect AudioFinder to crawl endlessly over networks. There are some corporate users with networks that go on and on and on, so it is possible to start a scan and scan for an infinite amount of time as it crawls every server.

Note, scan speed is drastically slower because the bandwidth is greatly reduced.
