Here’s something cool: Soundlab has released G-Player, a standalone and plug-in Giga player for OS X. Mac users have been longing for a proper solution to playing back Giga samples and Soundlab has delivered.

The Logic Users Group (LUG) is the oldest and largest online Logic community in existence. Formed in 1994, the LUG was Emagic’s first presence on the Internet, as well as the first website and mailing list for a digital audio sequencer. It has continued as an active unofficial support mailing list for professionals and amateurs since then, attracting both industry heavy hitters and new users of Emagic and then Apple Logic Pro and Apple Logic Express software.

SM Pro Audio has announced their VFX Host Software Beta for Mac. The VFX Host Software allows users to install and run Windows VSTs on an Intel Mac, using WINE virtualization technology.
Meet Bebot
The iPhone and the iPod touch are marvels of technology. I’m constantly amazed at what they can do. I was recently talking to Jordan Rudess (of Dream Theater) about the iPhone and its potential for music. He mentioned a new iPhone app called Bebot that he’s been working with.
