Berlin-based synth and effect plug-in developers u-he have announced that their software synthesizer plug-in Zebralette is now free for all to download. Perhaps jealous of its younger sibling, the upgrade to Zebra 2.5.1, including 64-bit support, new spectral effects and extra presets, is now also free.
Togu Audio Line (TAL) today announced TAL-NoiseMaker, an improved version of their TAL-Elek7ro software synthesizer AU and VST plug-in with a completely new synthesis engine and improvements in sound and usability. The instrument also includes a small effect section with a reverb, chorus and a simple bit crusher effect.
MeldaProduction effects plug-ins are now available on the Mac platform in VST and AU formats. MeldaProduction specializes in highly detailed dynamics and EQ plug-ins from mix to mastering. Many are very nicely priced, and a select handful are free.
MiniSpillage is a free professional quality drum synthesizer plugin from AudioSpillage. At the heart of MiniSpillage lies a high resolution DSP audio engine and a custom set of synthesis algorithms designed exclusively for original electronic drum sounds.

bx-cleansweep (AU/VST/RTAS) is a new Hi-Pass filter and Lo-Pass filter plug-in from Brainworx, introducing the new “Anti Crush Technology”. Analog style filter curves without the typical Nyquist problems, in a new great sounding filter design. Ffirst order filters (6dB) guarantee an extremely musically sounding filter set, and unique joystick control gives you fast and intuitive control. Clever shortcuts (alt/shift/ctrl) allow for detailed control over the X-axis and Y-axis of the joystick, and the EQ knobs can be set to precision mode by shift-click as well.
