Madrona Labs Ushers in Aalto Synthesizer
Madrona Labs today released Aalto, a new semi-modular software synthesizer with a patchable UI, distinctive sounds, and a charming personality. The heart of Aalto is a Buchla-inspired complex oscillator, with FM, timbre and waveshape controls that enable a wide range of expressive sounds difficult or impossible to make with softsynths before now. These sounds are uniquely malleable and alive, in part because they are made with dynamic calculation, not static wavetables.

Togu Audio Line (TAL) today announced TAL-NoiseMaker, an improved version of their TAL-Elek7ro software synthesizer AU and VST plug-in with a completely new synthesis engine and improvements in sound and usability. The instrument also includes a small effect section with a reverb, chorus and a simple bit crusher effect.
