Voxengo is very happy to announce the release of Drumformer, a multiband drum and master track dynamics processing plug-in. Drumformer is designed to be a comprehensive solution for the broadest range of sound processing tasks, allowing you to easily implement almost any dynamics processing idea you may have.

Drumformer can operate in broadband, 2-band and 3-band modes, with each band having compressor-expander and saturation modules. The sound of the compressor can be defined as “gluey with a ping”, because it instantly creates a “tight and glued together” sound while masterfully emphasizing the transients. The saturation module offers you a choice between six saturation modes, each having a smooth sound and differing harmonic content.

Drumformer features a precise gate module with a round sound and multifaceted controls that is useful when you are processing a multi-tracked drum kit. The built-in parametric equalizer with its spectrum analyzer will also come in handy. The “Clipper” module which is a part of the plug-in allows you to get artistic master output clipping effects.

Drumformer features:

Broadband, 2- and 3-band operation

3-band compressor/expander

3-band saturation module with 6 modes

Broadband gate module

Parametric equalizer

Output clipper module

External side-chain capability

Real-time FFT spectrum analyzer

Stereo and multi-channel processing

Internal channel routing

Channel grouping

Mid/side processing

Up to 8x oversampling

64-bit floating point processing

Preset manager

Undo/redo history

A/B comparisons

Contextual hint messages

All sample rates support

16 ms compensated processing latency

Drumformer is available in Audio Unit and VST plug-in formats (including native 64-bit support). The Mac version requires OS X 10.5 or later, an Intel 2 GHz dual-core or faster processor and at least 1 GB of available RAM.

An introductory price of $79.95 will be effective until September 28, which is 20% off the regular price of $99.95.

Voxengo is very happy to announce the release of GlissEQ version 3, a powerful parametric dynamic equalizer plugin for professional music production applications. GlissEQ delivers filters with dynamic behavior.

Voxengo is very happy to announce the release of GlissEQ version 3, a powerful parametric dynamic equalizer plugin for professional music production applications.

GlissEQ delivers filters with dynamic behavior. When using a normal equalizer, you always get what you set: If you specify a 6 dB boost at 100 Hz you get a 6 dB boost at 100 Hz. GlissEQ offers a slightly different approach. When you specify +6 dB at 100 Hz, you don’t necessarily get 6 dB of gain; the filter’s effective gain is adjusted dynamically according to the sound material you are filtering.

Such “dynamic behavior” of the GlissEQ filters gives you a friendly, assisting equalization experience. Boosting up the highs will not create the fatiguing effect of overload, and boosting up the lows will not make things sound mushy. Instead you will get a pleasant transient-emphasizing effect bringing life and dimension to your tracks. The pronunciation of the dynamic behavior can be controlled via special “Dyn” parameter.

GlissEQ also features a real-time spectrum analyzer. Moreover, the spectrum of a track can be exported to any other instance of GlissEQ thus making real-time inter-track spectrum comparisons possible. This can help you free frequency ranges in one track to allow the instrument in another track occupying same frequencies breathe.

GlissEQ features:

Filters with dynamic behavior

Real-time spectrum analysis

Real-time spectrum import/export

Up to 32 filter bands

16 filter types

Harmonically-enhanced filter type

Multi-channel processing

Internal channel routing

Channel grouping

Mid/side processing

Up to 8x oversampling

64-bit floating point processing

Preset manager

Undo/redo history

A/B comparisons

Contextual hint messages

GlissEQ 3 improvements over version 2:

Better filter’s dynamic behavior

Notch filters

Spectrum display zooming

Up to 96kHz spectrum range

Multi-channel support

Multi-platform support

Mid/side processing

Undo/redo

Routing matrix

Preset manager

User interface coloration

User interface re-scaling

Channel grouping

Plug-in instance naming

GlissEQ is available in AU and VST plug-in formats. The Mac version requires 10.4.11 or later, and an Intel or PowerPC processor. A 2 GHz dual-core or faster processor with at least 1 GB of system RAM are recommended.

An introductory price of $99.95 is in effect, returning to the regular price of $119.95 after two weeks. Upgrading is free if the previous version was purchased within the last 90 days. Otherwise the upgrade is $59.95. A demo version of GlissEQ can be downloaded for free at the Voxengo web site.

Voxengo announces the release of version 2 of Polysquasher – a mastering compressor plug-in for professional audio and sound production applications in VST and AudioUnit format. Introductory pricing is in effect for the debut month.

Version 2 features the following improvements over version 1:

Compressor mode editor

Polysquasher was designed with a main goal: to be transparent. Polysquasher achieves its goal by using a unique compression algorithm which requires a small number of parameters – basically threshold and ratio only – making this compressor a joy to use. More advanced settings are hidden in the “compressor mode editor” panel where you can create your own compressor modes that can be easily recalled later.

Polysquasher is best used as a finishing compressor inserted in the chain before the final mastering limiter.

Polysquasher features:

Transparent compression sound

Real-time gain reduction graph

8 built-in compressor modes

Compressor mode editor

A/B comparisons

Contextual hint messages

Polysquasher can be loaded into any audio host application that conforms to the VST or AudioUnit plug-in specification. The Mac version is compatible with OS X 10.4.11 and above, with an Intel or PowerPC processor. A 2 GHz dual-core or faster processor with at least 1 GB of system RAM is recommended.

A one-month introductory price of $55.95 is now effective, which is 20% off the regular price. Upgrading from the previous version costs $34.95 if the previous version was purchased earlier than 90 days from now: otherwise the upgrade is free during this grace period. A demo version of Polysquasher can be downloaded at the Voxengo web site.
